Pasatono Orquesta, a Mixtec band from Oaxaca, Mexico, presents works from their new album, La Tiricia, Música e Historias para curar la tristeza. Led by the bajo quinto player and ethnomusicologist Rubén Luengas Pérez, Pasatono will also perform at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 27. This project received Federal support from the Latino Initiatives Pool, administered by the Smithsonian Latino Center.
